Informatics Computing
Welcome to Informatics Computing Ltd

We specialise in the development of software products to assist schools with their administrative burden - principally relating to finance. These are collectively referred to as The Premier Suite.

Whether you are an existing user of one or more modules and you would like information on any of the others, or if you just want general information, please look at the Products page.  In addition, we can put you in touch with other users. They will be able to tell you just how much of a difference these programs can make to your life!

LATEST NEWS   (Last updated  17th January, 2012)

The Forums and Downloads sections are now available, but you have to be a registered user to gain access. Apply for an account and download resources or join in the latest discussions about all the software modules - enhancements, new features, and life in general.

Most Recent Builds: Premier Finance 105, Salary Manager 17, Inventory 19, Voluntary Funds 27, SuperMan 17.  For news of latest developments see the 'Enhancements' section in the Forum.

Voluntary Funds  Build 21 was sent out on 27/04/11 by email to all schools. We have since extended the functionality to provide an interface with sQuid, a company that specialises in e-Payments. This allows parents to make payments via the internet which are imported into Voluntary Funds. As well as reducing the amount of cash and cheques in school it also saves a great amount of administrative time. Contact us for further details of this exciting development.

Salary Manager We've recently implemented a new option - the Payments Centre. This covers all the functionality of the 'Check Payments Recorded' option but with a host of enhancements and much greater flexilbility. It is included in build 17 which is now available on request.

Superman  Inconsistencies have been found with build 15 when backing up and restoring under 64 bit versions of Windows 7. This is now fixed in build 17. Please ask for this new build if you think you may be affected.

Inventory
An update (build 17) of Inventory was sent to all schools in early May 2011. This has revised the interface with Excel because of a change in the way that the newer versions of Excel handle dates and how they interact with the spreadsheets produced from Inventory.  Please contact us if you have trouble installing the update. Schools in Worcestershire can request their update directly from IBSS. We are currently developing a version which will aggregate data from a group of schools into a 'central' dataset. Watch out for more details.

Dorset
An update to all Premier Suite modules whas been released - PF (build 105), Salary Manager (build 17), Voluntary Fund (build 26) and Inventory Control (build 19). The 2012 CPD catalogue for use within Premier Finance will shortly be available. Demos of the new ePayments facility in Voluntary Fund, in conjunction with sQuid were held in Septmber 2011 and were warmly received by schools. If you missed these and would like further details please contact the SASO team.

Herefordshire
Premier Finance schools should now be using build H.101 for the new year (11/12), and build H.95 over data covering previous years.   There was a demonstration of Voluntary Fund and Inventory programs in Hereford last term and the response to both programs was very enthusiastic. Please contact us, or the LMS & Finance support team in Hereford if you'd like further details.

Worcestershire
IBSS have details of training courses and updates for Inventory (to build 19). Please check with them if you're interested.  Updates to Voluntary Fund, Inventory and Premier Finance are distributed via IBSS. We are pleased to announce that it is now possible to import items ordered through SAP to be imported into the Inventory program.

Essex
Premier Finance schools have been issued with build E.95.  New releases of Voluntary Fund (21) and Inventory (17) have been sent out to existing users on 27/04/11 and 02/05/11 to cover the new financial year. All other schools are invited to ask for details of upgrades or new installations. We hope soon to announce demos of the new ePayments facility in Voluntary Fund in conjunction with sQuid.

ANTIGUA & BARBUDA

Following our donation of software to the Ministry of Education and to schools in Antigua and Barbuda we've since made five visits to train staff in Voluntary Funds and Inventory (well someone's got to do it!).  Having previously been featured on 'Good Morning Antigua'  to explain and report on this project, we had meetings with the Minister of Education and the Speaker of the House of Representatives during the visit in February 2011. These were filmed and shown on 'News at Ten' on Antiguan TV.  Further initiatives are also taking place. Firstly, we have set up a link between Five Islands Primary School in Antigua and Cheadle Primary School in the UK. Children in these schools are communicating with each other, to learn more about the different environments in which they live. Secondly, we sponsored a visit to the UK in July 2011 for a member of the IT staff in Antigua in order to look at IT systems and support over here. In addition, we are co-ordinating donations of books and other supplies for Five Islands Primary School. We are also supporting the delivery of the curriculum there by helping to finance the purchase of further classroom teaching aids. Our most recent visit was in November 2011 when we presented the books (and football kit donated by Luton Town FC) to Five Islands, and gave further assistance to the Board of Education's Island Inventory project.
