Inventory

Most schools agree that maintaining an accurate and up-to-date stock book is one of the more tiresome tasks that they are expected to manage. Many schools (though not necessarily yours!) do nothing about their stock book until a visit from the audit section is imminent. Then, its panic stations leading to the ‘inspection’ followed by a long period lying down in a darkened room until the feeling has disappeared.

Well . . . there is now another way! The Premier Suite’s new Inventory module is now available to make your life more fulfilling. It can be used independently of the other modules but will link into Premier Finance if installed.

Brief details of the program are as follows:

  • Inventory can link into Premier Finance so that any goods you order may be painlessly imported into the stock book. Better still, this works retrospectively so that you can even import items you may have ordered many years ago

  • Items can also be added and edited individually and/or imported from an Excel spreadsheet (in a specified format)

  • Very easy to update and maintain so the task rarely becomes daunting

  • Record details of, and receive reminders about, Safety checks, Stock checks, guarantees and equipment replacement dates

  • Automatic calculation of up-to-date valuations

  • Facility to attach a digital photograph to an item – useful for insurance or security purposes for items of higher value

  • Print customised check lists by department, location or equipment type. Export these lists to Excel and email them to, say, heads of department. They can then easily update these spreadsheets before they automatically update the Inventory database.

  • Many other truly exciting functions which you’d be better off seeing in the flesh!

  • Comprehensive audit reports and logs of changes etc. – enough to keep the most serious of auditors happy.
