Premier Finance

Premier Finance was introduced in December 1992 and has been continually updated since then. The initial design focussed on ease-of-use by staff who may not have an accounting background. Though first aimed at the Primary sector, from which the majority of the users are drawn, it has since been adopted by many large secondary and middle schools. The longevity of the system has made schools’ original investment in training particularly cost-effective.

The re-designed Windows program owes much to the successful formula developed over the last fifteen years but the most welcomed improvement was the introduction of concurrent multi-user access – i.e. more than one person at a time can use the program, and each user can have many forms open at the same time.

We provide for a high degree of customisation within each different Local Authority. This benefits the users greatly as complex forms and returns can be completed automatically with the minimum of effort.

The main features of the program cover:

Unlimited number of concurrent users, each with their own access rights and permissions; Completely user-definable structure;  Budgetting and Allocations to Accounts;  Ordering and Invoicing;  Automatic Reconciliation option for easy interchange of data with central County systems; All returns to County and DCSF - including the annual CFR return;  Invoices paid by local cheque or passed to the County Treasurer's department for payment; Petty Cash; Full range of 'dynamic' reports;  Optional links into Salary Manager module to maintain and update staffing commitments; Optional link into Inventory module to automatically send details of goods received into the Stock Book; Comprehensive amendment facilities with full audit trails;  Sytem control and User management functions provided by the Superman module.
